CapEQ deepens M&A skillset with key new hire

Ethical corporate finance boutique CapEQ has welcomed Vera Littova to the team as Europe’s first B-Corp advisor continues to grow.

Vera joins as corporate finance manager from chartered accountant Wilson Partners, and will specialise in financial analysis and forecasts, to bring more capacity and new capability to benefit CapEQ clients.

Established in 2020, CapEQ has grown to a 12-strong team, and advised on landmark M&A transactions including the sale of fintech Paycircle to Access Group in UK, the sale of EU research consultant PPMI to Kantar Public in Lithuania, the sale of Polish automation software Automate Now to DAX-listed Beta Systems.

Vera said: “There are quite a few M&A advisors operating in the Thames Valley, and it’s hard to tell them apart. However, the vibe at CapEQ is completely different.

“My first few days have been fun, and the tech they are using behind the scenes makes life so much easier for everyone compared to the traditional way of running a sales process.”

“The team are keen on helping out charities too, so I expect my passion for long distance cycling could come in handy with fundraising efforts.”

Co-founder James Pugh added: “We are very busy with a steady pipeline of client work coming through in 2024, and Vera is the first in a series of hires to help us add capacity and bring in new capabilities to assist clients in niche situations.

“For instance, Vera is skilled at vendor due diligence – which is useful to minimise risks, speed the sales process, and maximise value creation. Every time we bring in someone new, we aim for those who bring something new to us so we continually renew and update our M&A skillset.”
