Completed M&A Deals - IMB Contracts acquired by Display World

IMB Contracts acquired by Display World

Display World was established in February 1997 by CEO Derek Robinson and operates from a 16,000 ft2 facility in Soham, Cambridgeshire, which includes a factory, workshop, customer storage facility and offices.

Display World provides high-quality shopfitting, merchandising, display and point of sale solutions to a broad spectrum of retail, leisure and banking clients on a bulk roll-out or bespoke basis.

The company has its own in-house teams dedicated to Project Management, CAD, Health & Safety, Site Management, Supervision and Site Operations, who work together to drive projects through from design briefing stage, to manufacture, installation, practical completion and aftercare.

Alongside the establishment earlier this year of DW Furniture; a contract furniture manufacturer, the acquisition of IMB Contracts represents the start of a new and exciting chapter in the evolution of Display World.

Display World enjoys a strong customer base and an enviably loyal staff. The company has grown organically but increasingly recognises the need to develop its customer offering and organisational capability to better serve its customer’s needs in an ever changing marketplace.

Display World CEO Derek Robinson commented, “IMB Contracts is widely recognised as one of the country’s premier shopfitting teams and are held in high regard by their major customers including Ladbrokes, SpecSavers, Paddy Power and Coral. IMB shares our ethos that customers’ confidence in our ability to deliver is and must remain central to everything we do.” The strategic objective behind the acquisition of IMB Contracts is to grow an enlarged business, not to consolidate it down and there are no plans to eliminate any jobs at IMB or Display World. IMB will continue to operate from its current offices at Wimborne, Dorset and both companies will progressively merge activities as the teams integrate with one another.
