Backing the fight to save Brazil’s jungle

CapEQ has teamed up again with Ecologi to protect the Amazon rainforest from
illegal logging and farm clearances.

Brazil’s Manoa Project in Rondônia State – near the Bolivian border – is a global
model for low-impact woodland management, saving an area the size of Liechtenstein from illegal loggers and soybean farm encroachment since 1997.

However, the vast jungle canopy faces renewed threats of agricultural
conversion and timber theft, and is appealing for financial support to:

  • increase patrols and satellite surveillance
  • improve local education at the on-site training centre
  • monitor flora and fauna recovery programmes.
We divert a portion of our profits every month to Ecologi who find established

and verifiable environmental projects for us, fellow BCorps and other
organisations to back.
