Sentinel Capital Partners and management invest in Precision Pipeline Solutions

Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm specialising in promising middle-market companies, has announced a strategic investment in Precision Pipeline Solutions (PPS), alongside PPS management. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Investing in energy infrastructure services

Precision Pipeline Solutions, headquartered in Newburgh, NY, is a leading project manager for gas and electrical inspection, repair, replacement, and maintenance of transmission, distribution, and generation systems. PPS is also known for its specialised consulting and auditing services.

Michael Fabian, VP at Sentinel said: “The energy infrastructure in the United States, particularly in older cities in the northeast USA where PPS operates, has an ongoing need for the services provided by PPS. We see this as a promising market for growth, and PPS is ideally positioned to capitalise on these opportunities.”

Building on a strong foundation

Post-acquisition developments

In 2014, Sentinel sold PPS in a trade sale to Prime Utility Services, a Seattle-based company specializing in energy and telecoms infrastructure. Subsequently, in 2017, Prime Utility Services, including PPS, was acquired by French multinational VINCI Energies.

This investment marks a significant step for Sentinel Capital Partners and Precision Pipeline Solutions as they continue to advance in the utility services sector.
