Selteka employs 280 staff and reported €16 million turnover in 2024. Founded in 1956 as the Kaunas Radio Factory, the company became Selteka in 1997, scaling production and design services to serve customers from industrial electronics to telecoms and energy in the Baltics and across Europe.

Strategic Rationale for the Acquisition

The acquisition of Selteka is part of Inission's long-term growth plan and strengthens its presence in Northern Europe. Each acquisition adds new expertise and strengthens the joint offering. Selteka's local presence, modern production and experienced staff complement Inission's existing structure. The company also has a loyal customer base in areas with continued high demand. As part of Inission, Selteka gains access to a larger network, more resources and the opportunity to grow further under a common brand, with local presence.

Inission CEO Fredrik Berghel explained: “With Selteka, we gain a strong foothold in the Baltics and open doors to new markets. It is an important piece of the puzzle in our international expansion and a step toward becoming an even more complete EMS partner.

“Selteka has a long history, strong expertise, and a solid reputation in the industry. Their experience and resources enhance our joint offering and create new opportunities for growth and development, both locally and across the entire Inission Group.”

Selteka CEO Arūnas Vizgaitis added: “Our industry is in a period of rapid change, and the ensuing investment, innovation, workforce and skills demands are challenging to keep pace with. In such a situation smaller EMS companies need to find a strong niche or strong partners to stay competitive.

“As part of the Inission family, I’m delighted to have found a partner to help us benefit from economies of scale and business resilience to meet the rapidly evolving needs of our customers.

“I am staying in the company as CEO, and I’m looking forward to announcing to our customers and employees on opened our additional capabilities as we work more closely across the Inission group.”

Selteka was introduced to Inission by pan-European M&A advisor CapEQ, which advised the Selteka shareholders on finding the right strategic partner and the transaction, supported by Glimstedt (legal advisor).

CapEQ Baltics director Audrius Sankalas said: “Although there was strong market interest from EMS acquirers, it became clear early on that Selteka and Inission shared had lots in common, which made for smooth negotiations and a strong business combination. We are confident this new chapter will be successful for all stakeholders.”
