Govtech Joins Netcall to Transform Local Government Services

Netcall PLC, a leading provider of AI-powered automation and customer experience software, has acquired Govtech, a pioneering process automation technology partner to UK local authorities. This strategic acquisition, advised by CapEQ, aims to enhance services and achieve significant cost savings for local government.

Strategic Acquisition Expands Local Government Footprint

The acquisition of Govtech significantly expands Netcall's presence in the local government sector. By incorporating Govtech's expertise and innovative revenues and benefits automation technology into its Liberty portfolio, Netcall will streamline operations and improve citizen experiences. Govtech's platform, which processes approximately 30 million transactions annually and achieves up to 80% automation for around 50 local authorities, delivers substantial productivity savings and enhanced service delivery.

Integrating Govtech's Technology into Netcall's Liberty Platform

Netcall plans to integrate Govtech's solutions into its Liberty platform, combining them with existing automation capabilities such as AI-enhanced citizen experience technology, chatbots, robotic process automation, and rapid application development. This integration will create a powerful synergy, streamlining income collection processes across Revenues and Benefits, Housing, and Social Care.

Automation M&A: Digitising Council services

Delivering Tangible Benefits for Local Authorities

Govtech's technology has already demonstrated significant productivity savings, with up to 50% increased efficiency in Revenues and Benefits teams. By integrating these capabilities into its Liberty platform, Netcall will further enhance efficiency and improve citizen service delivery.

CapEQ and Freeths Facilitate the Transaction

Govtech was advised by CapEQ (M&A) and Freeths (legal) on the transaction. The price and terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed.

The Govtech acquisition was quickly followed a month later with the purchase of Belgian intelligent document processing software company Contract.fit – home of IDP solution Parble.
