WARD & SANKALAS JOIN ETHICAL ADVISOR CAPEQ
Boutique M&A firm CapEQ has continued its rapid expansion in 2020 by appointing two new Directors to the team.
A fluent French and German speaker, Stuart Ward will concentrate on international markets and the food and agriculture sector. Having spent 30 years running, growing, and selling companies across the EU, Middle East, and Africa, Ward brings an ability to maximise profit, shareholder value, and EBITDA when acquiring, integrating, or selling businesses. A founding shareholder and investor in three agri-tech, genetics, and equipment fabrication businesses, he joined the team on the 4th of January 2021.
After a decade at BCMS, Audrius Sankalas also joined CapEQ, on the 4th of January 2021. Having overseen M&As and corporate financing across Lithuania, the Baltic States, and Scandinavia in recent years, he will build on this expertise at CapEQ, whilst also focusing on European countries. As with all CapEQ experts, Audrius brings hands-on MD-level experience to the role, plus a proven ability to guide C-suite professionals through complex transactions.
Founding partner Mark Sapsford explains the new arrivals as “a consequence of picking up more than twice the amount of new business we anticipated in 2020, leading to a more bullish view of what CapEQ can offer and achieve in 2021 and beyond. Stuart and Audrius will be instrumental in accelerating our progress.”
His fellow founder James Pugh adds that “these new hires mean we are now able to represent any SME or lower mid-market client across the UK, Europe and beyond. As the only M&A player with B Corp certification[1] pending, we plan to expand our unique approach to M&A to more clients in more jurisdictions in the years to come.”
